Franked Mail - An American Right

Well....
I Didn't REALLY think that I needed to post this little tidbit of knowledge, but a situation arose where it became glaringly 'clear' to ME that I need to SHARE this ;-)

For those interested in saving MONEY on your postal costs, you might want to LOOK in YOUR Home Dictionary, and SEEK the definition of the word 'FRANK - FRANKED'.

Found it yet? Are you shocked by what you found?

Are you thinking that you've maybe read or understood the 'meaning' wrong?

No YOU did NOT misread, or misunderstand. Because Mine says:

frank: 1.(a) 'To put an official mark on (a piece of mail) so that it can be sent free of charge. b. To send (mail) free of charge. 2. To place a stamp or mark on a (piece of mail) to show the payment of postage.
(n)1.(a) A mark or signature placed on a piece of mail to indicate the right to send it free of charge. b. The right to send mail free. 2. A franked piece of mail [American Heritage dictionary of the English Language, 3rd Ed., pg. 721]
And for the Black's Law Dictionary holders, please feel free to research back to the 1st Edition ;-)

It's FUNNY that CONGRESS (that's right, Congress) didn't get the 'privilege' until Black's 5th Edition. lol!!!!!

So to exercise this RIGHT, I address my envelopes this way:
(outgoing)
Any Name
General Delivery Mail
Post Office Box 123
Any City, Any State
Non-Domestic Mail - Without the United States

The format of the 'To'(incoming) address doesn't matter as you are mailing your letter it into the US, NOT from out of it ;-)

And of course I put 'FRANKED' where the stamp would go.

Now understand that the definition says 'mail' not 'packages'. So don't make that mistake.
I usually stick with sending letters of about three pages max, for typical first class 'mail' ;-)

Feel free to comment ;-)

Is This Where Your Government Wants to Take You?

I've listened to this and I realize that if you 'change' the 'name' and the 'language', then it ALL seems Familiar :-(

Is this Where this Country is Headed?
Doesn't this part of this 'Documentary' Sound Familiar to YOU?!??!? (Part 2 of 6)

Part Two of Six:

Here is the rest of the Movie. Really something to think about, huh?!?
However, I'd say that 'THEY' Already have the jump on US as this system is 'already' in place and in USE.  I KNOW that You've heard of Big Brother?!?
